How Ventures works
In a nutshell, Ventures is a program for students in grades 10-12 that helps you start a business and you recieve school credit! Students are required to submit a proposal under Special Projects in order to recieve their course credit(s) while they operate their business. Students are required to take CTS Modules as determined by the local CF and School, and will be expected to be working on their business plan as well with support from their local Community Futures (CF) office. Following completion of the required Modules and completion of their business plan, students may then be eligible to access a start up loan through CF to start their business. Then, if you successfully graduate from grade 12, this loan will be repaid on your behalf by Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC).
